Watch out IBS folks: contains xylitol

This product, a chewable, contains the sugar alcohol sweetener xylitol to try to make it taste better. I think this is a bad choice by the manufacturer because people with IBS will react poorly to this additive. From the xylitol article on healthline.com: "Xylitol is categorized as a sugar alcohol... The sugar alcohols can pull water into your intestine or get fermented by gut bacteria... If you have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or an intolerance to FODMAPs, be careful with sugar alcohols and consider avoiding them altogether."

Wrong Kind of Calcium for Bariatric Patients

Searched Amazon for "chewable Calcium Citrate" and this was a suggested item. It's NOT calcium citrate, it's calcium carbonate, which isn't well absorbed. So, I have this bottle that I've been taking, but my blood work is off because it's the wrong calcium. Is Amazon trying to kill me? Carbonate shouldn't come up when you search for citrate. :-(

Not pleasant tasting...

The xylitol in these make them totally unpalatable for me. Sickeningly sweet, fakey sweet. These may be good for you, but I'll never know because there is no way I can choke down the rest of this large bottle. I think I'd rather just swallow a large pill!

If you need to take Calcium this is a great pill!

I think these pills are the best. I always found the Calcium pills too big and hard to swallow. They would get caught in my throat as they were all horse pills. I tried the caramel chewable kind of calcium pills but they hurt my teeth. When I found this product in my drugstore I thought they were so much easier to take. They were a pleasant fruity flavor and chewable so I didn't have the problem swallowing this huge pill. When I returned to buy the product a second time I couldn't find the chewable ones in the stores. That is when I looked on Amazon. Of course I found it. It came in a bottle 2x's the size for less money with free shipping. I ordered it and was very pleased with how well it was packaged and how quickly it arrived. It is a great product and I have zero complaints. I have told many of my friends to try my calcium pills and many have switched to using them and love to order them from Amazon for the same reasons I do.

Taste like chalk!

I've tried & tried to enjoy taking these chalky, chewable calcium supplements, but have avoided them consistently due to their terrible taste & after taste!! YUCK! I do not recommend them. My mouth feels like it's coated in undissolved chalk.

A tasty easy way to get minerals.

Tastes pretty good for a supplement. Much like tums but softer and more minerals per pill. Also my doctor said you absorb calcium better with d3 present. These are very easy to take compared to swallowing a huge pill. Since i have frequently been low enough on electrolytes to pass out and require iv infusions, i have been careful to take all my supplements as the doctor says but the prescribed calcium pills were just too big. Doctor says these chewables are just fine. Would give five stars if they tasted just a little better and weren't chalky but you can't have everything, right?
