Defeats Osteoporosis

I have always taken additional calcium with my meals. At the time is was either calcium carbonate or calcium citrate or both. When I was 65, I took a terrible off a ladder and pretty much destroyed my right side and have had 5 surgeries so far. A couple of years after the fall, I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis. I started doing a lot of research on and about calcium and one of the things I found out was that it is not all about just the calcium but also about vitamins D3, K1, K2, Magnesium and others. Then I did more research on the kinds of calcium that were available on the market and I was surprised when I found New Chapter Bone Strength as it had it all in one and that was a blessing as I don't like taking pills to begin with as I have to remember to take them in a certain order. I also like the fact that it is made from a source like red algae and not limestone. So, New Chapter and I started on a quest together and I am very glad to report that my osteoporosis is GONE after just two years on this regimen. It isn't over as New Chapter Bone Strength calcium and I have formed a permanent bond as this 70-year old continues on with the confidence that I will never have to take fosamax and never did even though doctors were throwing the stuff at me. Thank you, New Chapter, for coming to my rescue at a pretty desperate time after my fall. Now my wife and oldest daughter are taking it as well.

I have been taking New Chapter Bone Strength for about 14 months now. After much research I choose New Chapter over others manufacturers. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis 12/15/14 and just had a bone scan done last week. I am ecstatic to report I have gone from osteoporosis back to osteopenia.

CELIACS-- BEWARE!!

I have been a loyal New Chapter Organics customer for years, primarily consuming the New Chapter Bone Strength Take Care and the New Chapter Every Woman Multivitamin. However, I started developing sharp pains and cramping in my upper abdomen. The pain eventually became so intense that it would keep me up all night. Since I fastidiously avoid gluten and wheat in my daily diet, my doctor recommended reviewing all of my supplements to make sure I wasn't consuming any incidental gluten. Taking her suggestion, I re-read the labels and noticed that the New Chapter Products now say, "Contains: Fermented soy and fermented wheat (as food source for Saccharomyces cerevisiae)." I had previously read the labels when I began as a New Chapter consumer, and always felt assurance due to the fact that the company touts that its products are "gluten-free."
After removing all New Chapter products from my daily consumption, my gut has begun its slow healing process. The reduction in pain was almost immediate.

I read that the company has been bought out by the industry giant, Proctor and Gamble. I wondered if this is the reason for the apparent change in formula. Today I contacted New Chapter Organics at its corporate office in Vermont to obtain information. The helpful representative stated that the formula has not been changed. Rather, he said that the government has required them to change their label to disclose the ingredients. He said that wheat is the food source for the bacteria, as they culture their vitamins. He also claimed that when they test the final product, the wheat is typically below 20 parts per million.

If one has Celiac Disease, it is just not worth the risk of the discomfort and health issues that are connected to consuming a product with variable amounts of wheat, no matter how small those amounts may be. After thousands of dollars in medical bills due to the issues created in my small intestine, I can confidently say that this product should contain a caution for Celiacs, and should definitely not say "gluten-free."

"Significant increase in bone mineral density since previous study done in March 2018"

Those words were music to my ears. Back in 2018 I was diagnosed with osteoporosis and put on generic fosamax. I was a good soldier and took the medicine but after 2-3 weeks was so sick to my stomach on this medication that I stopped. I consulted with my GP and he wanted me to try Prolia. I said I wanted to see if I could get results using other methods and we agreed to a two year trial period. I did the following: First, found this supplement and took it 2x daily (recommended 3X daily but because I eat lunch in a busy office, I just knew I would not have it together to take it then.) Second, every AM started with large glass of water with lemon squeezed into it - google Dr. Pier Boutin, orthopedic surgeon. Third, started a regular and consistent exercise regime including jogging, walking with a weighted vest and doing push ups. I just got my results back from 2020 bone density report GREAT NEWS: "There has been stability or improvement in bone mineral density at the spine and hips since previous study and patient does not meet criteria for pharmacologic therapy." I am over 65 and have taken medication that has a correlation to bone density loss for almost 20 years, so to get these results without prescription bone meds is miraculous. I really hope this information helps another person.

As a cancer survivor with osteopenia this supplement is remarkable and is helping keep my bones strong. Plant based calcium is a must to keep your arteries clear of build up. I have been using this for years.
