A waste of money

A waste of money!
Class-Action Lawsuit Filed Against “Memory Supplement” Marketers of Prevagen
In January, 2015, a class-action suit was against Quincy Bioscience (QB) LLC the manufacturer of Prevagen. The company claims that the product works by re-supplying memory-related proteins that decline as people age. The lawsuit charges:
• The product cannot work as advertised because its only purported active ingredient, apoaequorin (a protein), is completely destroyed by the digestive system and transformed into common amino acids no different than those derived from other common food products.
• The amount of amino acids Prevagen adds to the user’s intake are trivial in comparison to normal dietary intake.
• Claims that clinical tests demonstrate that Prevagen will improve memory and support healthy brain function, sharper mind, and clearer thinking are false. (Note: QB’s “clinical trials” were conducted in-house and did not have independent verification.)
• Studies touted in Prevagen’s marketing campaign “if they exist at all, are, on their face, so seriously flawed that they demonstrate nothing regarding Prevagen.”

May cause seizures

After taking this products for about 30 days, I had a grand mal seizure, while driving. I've never had a seizure, or any neurological disorder before in my life. I am a fit healthy 50 yr old female. In doing research, I found that side effects found in test studies included seizures and strokes. Because this product is over-the-counter, the manufacturer apparently does not have to report this information.

Help With Memory

I was having problems recalling words as I was speaking or writing. I could tell it was getting worse over the last 3-4 years. I'd seen the commercials and even told several friends about it but didn't taken it myself until the end of January. Within a week or two I could tell a significant improvement and my memory continues to improve. I decided to take the 20 mg as opposed to the 10 mg because of how often my forgetfulness was happening. After 3 months or so, I plan to switch to the 10 mg to see if that will manage a maintenance dose for me. I really recommend Prevagen.

Well Worth the Money

I swear by this product! It has helped me and my husband tremendously when we were studying for promotion. I noticed that it has improved my ability to focus as well. Well worth the money, and it's cheaper here on Amazon rather than Walgreens or CVS.

after a couple months on these pills - I don't see any difference. I marked my calendar so I would definitely remember when I started taking them. My memory is not improved as far as I can tell (or anyone around me can tell).

Positive Results

I have to honestly say I Did experience positive results after only a few days. Ordered the extra strength. I am 63 and after years of procrastination finally gave it a try. Noticed things were actually getting done that I used to waste time thinking about. Definitely glad to have tried this product on extra strength.
