This deceptive description describes the product as 95% standardized curcuminoids, put the label on the bottle shows that there are only 150 mg of 95% standardized curcuminoids, not 1567 mg as 95% of 1650 would imply. I bought this product assuming it had a high content of curcuminoids but it's the usual 2 or 3% of the turmeric. This is one of the best supplements I have ordered off of Amazon. It came in one day, with two bottles. I have handed one off to my grandmother to see how she felt about them because we are vitamin junkies! She thought they were as great as I did. I have scoliosis so this was a super plus for my random daily back pains. I already took turmeric capsules, but this changed the game with the added ginger. All and all will buy again, and they are officially added to my daily regiment.

Before I start writing about this product, it would be worth mentioning that I am an Indian decent. I believe there is some value to this for couple of reasons. First, turmeric is an essential component of Indian cuisine and secondly, I have been seeing my great grandma and her 4 generations continuously vouching for turmeric as a first aid topically, and as a digestive aid orally (2 teaspoonful before bedtime right off the spice box). Fast forward to me (4th gen dude) who has been using turmeric not only anecdotally but also scientifically. I have a degree in Biopharmaceutical analysis and very well understand Pharmacokinetic aspects of a drug (Google ADME). Below are some facts to show how this product has gained my trust.<br /><br />1) Nutritional claim seem to be correct as stated on the label. I did my own analysis and lets leave it there.<br />2) Product is more concentrated compared to curcumin found in powdered turmeric used in form of spice (both quantity and concentration)<br />3) Orally palatable, no after taste, not a sure way to tell, but the capsule made from vegetable extracts should be better soluble compared to typical capsules made from animal products, example gelatin<br />4) It is true that black pepper increases curcumin absorption. This product has 10:1 ratio of turmeric:blackpepper. This seems to be a standard<br />5) As far as pharmacodynamic effects (what drug does to the body) are concerned, it remains to be checked. I plan to ask my MD to order some inflammation biomarkers tests and compared to my baseline results and see how they compare. I would also give a subjective assessment of muscle and joint aches compared to what they were before I started taking this product.<br />6) Overall, I don't have any doubt that this product would meet my expectations. Highly recommend to anyone who is been tired of using typical pain meds (RX and OTCs) due to all the side effects. This is certainly a natural way. Don't get me wrong, curcumin is a chemical compound and am sure it is not free of side effects. However, if those side effects were that bad or that prevalent or a matter of concern from a long term exposure, Indians would have long thrown this out of their spice rack! Hope this helps.

I have been using an OTC for knee inflammation and pain for a few months now. It takes a while to kick in and is also pricey. A friend suggested I give this a look. I ordered it and within the first day of taking it (fresh off a run) my knees felt better using this then with the OTC. I would highly recommend this for anyone who has inflammation of any type.

A friend of mine recommended taking turmeric & boswellia to help me with pain I have due to a fall I had 8 years ago. I had broken my tibia, fibula & shattered my ankle. Seven surgeries later, screws in my leg & a fused ankle I have had quite a lot of arthritic pain. I've been taking the maximum dose of gabapentin that I could to help alleviate it. But it has never really helped as much as I had hoped. Just 3 days after taking both the turmeric & boswellia I had no more swelling & the pain was 95% gone. That was 2 months ago & the results are the same. I have reduced the gabapentin to the least I could take until I see my doctor in a few months. I am stunned at the effect these supplements have. A knee injury that has caused me so much pain going up & down stairs & has stopped me from excercising is basically gone. I can do stairs with ease & even did a 3 mile walk the other day. A bicep injury was so painful it was hard to get comfortable even to sleep is so improved that I am barely aware of it. And edema in my right leg is literally gone. I can't remember the last time my ankles were the same size! I will never stop taking these!
