WOW, results in photos speak for themselves!!!

I’ve been taking supplements for 2.5 months (a little over 10 weeks) after getting horrible news of my very high cholesterol. A small change in my diet to limit red meat to once every other week, eating only lean proteins (chicken, turkey, fish), increasing fiber, and supplementing as seen below massively lowered my cholesterol.
Cholesterol tested 12-14-2017 was:
• Cholesterol = 262 mg/dL (normal is 100-199)
• Triglycerides = 134
• HDL Cholesterol = 53
• LDL Cholesterol = 182 (normal is 0-99)

Cholesterol Tested 3-15-2018 was:
• Cholesterol = 197 mg/dL (normal is 100-199) (WENT DOWN 65 POINTS!)
• Triglycerides = 106
• HDL Cholesterol = 49
• LDL Cholesterol = 127 (normal is 0-99) (WENT DOWN 55 POINTS!)

My morning supplements taken with oatmeal was:
• 1 [[ASIN:B00W4XZNPI Now Foods Probiotic-10? 50 Billion - 50 Vcaps (2-Pack)]] pill
• 1 [[ASIN:B007L0DONW Vitafusion Men's Gummy Vitamins, 150 Count (Packaging May Vary)]] pill
• 2 [[ASIN:B001F1FXZU Nature Made CholestOff Original Caplets w. Pretty Sure it Works

My wife and I are trying to have a child, and we both have some fertility issues. I read about the benefits of L-Carnitine in regards to sperm count and quality. I bought this to take along with some fertility drugs my doctor prescribed.

After a month, my numbers are through the roof, and even my doctor was surprised. I have to think that the L-Carnitine played a large part in that improvement.

Also, I definitely noticed a slight rise in my energy level throughout the day.

L-Carnitine is good, but Acetyl-L-Carnitine is better for my purposes.

This supplement is OK, but I meant to order the Acetyl-L-Carnitine. I bought this for my 94 year old mother with dementia. The Carnitine is beneficial, but I believe the Acetyl-L-Carnitine has more benefits for memory and cognitive health. Carnitine is a neuronal energizer and is essential for the production of energy by the mitochondria, “powerhouse” of the cell. Transports fatty acids to the mitochondrial membrane where they are made into energy, and also helps remove waste products from mitochondria-created energy production. Both are beneficial for cognitive heath, but Acetyl-L-Carnitine readily converts to acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that is critical for learning and concentration.

Good for heart attack victims (Mayo Clinic)

Bad for everyday use (Cleveland Clinic)

At least that is my take from reading recent developments in the news.

Cleveland Clinic: "when gut bacteria metabolize the compound carnitine, they turn into trimethylamine-N-oxide (TMAO), which has been linked to atherosclerosis and heart disease. A diet high in carnitine stimulates the growth of more of that type of gut bacteria, creating a loop that can severely raise your risk."

Mayo Clinic: "Researchers found that the protein could reduce the risk of death for those recovering from a heart attack. L-carnitine is naturally produced in the body and also found in high amounts in red meat. It is added to energy drinks for its energy-boosting properties. When someone has a heart attack, l-carnitine levels are down."

The only natural source of L-carnitine in your diet is Red Meat (which I love). With the highest concentrations in heart and liver tissues (which I don't eat at all).

L-Carnitine helps transform fats into energy (which I have way too much of!). And also can make an inense exercise easier on your muscles by taking the energy from your fat and not from muscle.

Tartrate is a salt or ester of tartaric acid.

Just ok

Thought I would try the tablets instead of the liquid. I do not feel the energy like I did with the liquid.

So, these are okay...but they are GINORMOUS! - Graves Disease Hyperthyroidism

So, these are okay...but they are GINORMOUS! I wouldn't buy these again based on their size alone. If that doesn't bother you, then buy away. I take these for Graves Disease, hyperthyroidism.

UPDATE-June 2015 - Took these along with PTU. My TSH was stuck but these helped get it to normal range within about 2 months along with PTU.

UPDATE- April 2016I stopped taking. My TSH is abnormal again. I don't want to to radioactive iodine for Graves Disease so I'm trying it again. I am also taking vegetarian acetyl-l carnitine as well. we will see how it goes.
