I absolutely love these for my 5 year old!
My toddler i struggle getting down for bedtime I applied 30 min before bedtime and he went down so effortlessly
I would always try something on myself first before trying it on my child. Especially if it's not a brand that I am familiar with. The difference between these patches and other types of patches I've tried is these are thick. Almost similar feeling to a tens unit pad or a very very thin mousepad. Infact, that's exactly what it feels like, a very very thin sticky mousepad. I followed the instructions, placed it on my wrist and hoped for the best. I felt nothing. Not an ounce of sleepiness, drowsiness, etc. During the evening, I woke up several times, so it didn't keep me asleep either. I had my coworker try it as well to see if it worked for her, and it didn't.
I have two young children, and since the research on melatonin use for young children seems incomplete, I thought these would be a good option to try. I like that they come sealed in their packaging, and have a nice lavender scent to them. The patches are like a foam sticker and my kids, ages 4 and 6, were fine with trying them. The first night I think it really did help them to fall asleep faster, although they both woke up in the night due to a little nasal congestion and took some time to go back to sleep. In the morning, when we removed the patches, my daughter's skin was a little red where the patch had been on her upper arm. She reported it didn't hurt, but we tried it on her inner wrist the next night and it fell off early in the night. I think the best placement for us was the inside of her forearm which we tried the third night- my son didn't want to try them again. The directions report these might take a few nights to be most effective. Again, I think they do help, and would be worth a try for an upcoming transition that you anticipate might impact sleep (such as getting rid of a pacifier, switching to a new bed/bedroom, traveling, etc.). If your child does have sensitive skin, you might want to skip these.
The little one refused to put them on . He says they smell bad .
I love that these sleep patches are melatonin-free. I've had no side effects and I wake up feeling refreshed.
I had no problems with the adhesive sticking throughout the night.
The smell is quite relaxing too!
