Works well

To aid in getting to sleep at night, I started taking melatonin. The liquid taste great, and I much prefer drinking to taking pills. I get great sleep and don't wake up feeling drowsy. Due to sleeping better I have noticed a better change in my energy levels and a better mood.

A fast-acting sleep aid without a hangover

I've been a third-shift worker in ICUs for about half my career. Even before that, I was both a night owl and a morning person. So, my circadian rhythm is nigh non-extant. Additionally, I am a very light sleeper. And, on top of all this, it's the 21st century and light pollution and urban noise and phones in bed are all things. So, I sleep with a sleep mask, often ear plugs, and have a variety of sleep aids. Historically, diphenhydramine and melatonin are good IF I have at least six to eight hours, otherwise I will feel like groggy, blurry, fuzzy crap for hours after waking. Valerian is my usual go-to, but it takes a WHILE to kick in and if you don't wind down while it is trying to take effect, I can miss the boat.

This little bottle is running on two of those three, and then some ingredient derived from tea (which I have used but it's like, a whole thing to brew tea). Never knowing how fast it will work, if it will work, and how much after effects I will feel, I tried this out on a weekend without any scheduled activities. Following the dose guidelines and using the included measuring cup, we were off. First, I have to comment on the taste. While the smell is pretty neutral, the taste is not "dream berry" to me, if I had to label it, I would go with "mango valerian cough syrup." Which isn't awful, but I know some people hate the smell of valerian and this tastes like that smell a bit. It's thick and clingy like a cough syrup, have water on hand. However, it does kick in fast, faster than any pill form melatonin, valerian, or diphenhydramine I use. It gives you some warning, and I think you could fight it if you wanted to enough, but it's a nice slide into sleep.

For better or worse (better in my opinion), it doesn't really increase sleep depth, I was still able to be woken, and barring that event occurring less than two hours after falling asleep, I had no grogginess or blurriness. This is the MAJOR upside for me, because I don't always have 6+ hours to sleep OR I am reaching for a sleep aid because I am up too late and NEED to get some sleep in the limited window I have. So, for me, that's a feature more than a drawback.

TL;DR - A sleep aid that will push you gently into sleep but not keep you out or leave you feeling hungover even for a shorter sleep/nap.

O M G !! Amazing

I’ve been very reluctant to join the melatonin “bandwagon” as I’ve tried it years ago without success.

Recently I’ve been having sleep problems but don’t want to take any OTC or prescription sleeping pills. Somnapure sounded like something to try and I did but had my reservations.

I took the suggested dosage of 10 ml in the included measuring cup, expecting a “yuck” reaction but the taste is actually pleasant, laid back in my bed and before I realized it, it was morning. Not only did I fall asleep fast, I had a very restful sleep!

Yes, I highly recommend this fast acting liquid which not only contains Melatonin but other natural relaxants.

Says liquid melatonin, but it's a blend of things

This stuff tastes pretty good and is definitely effective. Liquid delivery is often faster-acting than tablets or capsules. The problem I have with this, that may be specific to me and a small group of others, is that the name says melatonin 3mg (my preferred dose), but the actual ingredients are melatonin and a variety of other sleep-promoting herbs and supplements. That's fine in general, but I am currently on chemotherapy, and some herbal supplements are not considered wise or safe to take while on chemo. I have opted to wait until the treatment is over to continue using this.

Definitely Helped

I struggle a lot with falling asleep and staying asleep at night. So much so.. that I’m willing to try almost anything to get some relief.
I ordered the Somnapure liquid melatonin in hopes it would be the answer to my prayers.
And I can honestly say it DID help me fall asleep faster, and kept me in a deeper sleep stage much longer then without it, however I did wake feeling a bit groggy. Which is a small price to pay for hours of deep sleep in my opinion.

I would definitely recommend you give this a try if you struggle with sleep disturbance, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed

Nice Sleep Aid

This Melatonin Sleep Aid does help me go to sleep faster and, somewhat, stay asleep longer.

For few times I used it, I found myself falling asleep faster but as for staying asleep longer it was hit or miss. Sometimes I would stay asleep and sometimes I would wake up briefly before going back to sleep again. Now for the groggy feeling, I can't really say that I am groggy due to the medication or if it's other factors that disturb my sleep. Just remember that results will vary on use for every individual and to always follow written instructions on use and/or doctor's instructions.

Overall, it's not as potent as some other sleep aids that I have tried in the past, but it does work in helping me fall asleep faster. If you're in need of a lighter sleep aid or interested in trying one, but want to try a milder aid, then this one should satisfy you.
