I used to take GNC acidophilus (the kind you need to refrigerate), and it worked. However, it got very expensive. Recently was using Azo Yeast, but it barely helped, even when I doubled up, and it was costing me about $14/month. It did not require refrigeration. I tried this product, and I haven't felt this much relief in years! I have a chronic problem, and so I have to take a maintenance dosage. I take two of these in the morning, and two at night. I refrigerate after opening. I have found that the ones that require refrigeration work better. So glad to have discovered these, and they cost less than $10 for a 35 day supply.<br />Months later, and I continue to like these the best. However, they are much cheaper on the Swanson site.

Have always trusted Swanson products! Swanson's acidophilus lactobacillus quickly corrects personal yeast problems when I have indulged in too much sugary treats. This time I'm going to keep this product as a morning empty stomach. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of chocolate fudge!

TOOK IT FOR LOOSE STOOLS

Expirations are not given in the description. I do not usually take this product 2x a day. I ordered this replacement before my last bottle ran out. The bottle's expiration date was only months away. Taking them 1x a day, there is no way I will be done before the expiration date. As I was finishing my last bottle, I will be hard pressed to finish them before expiration, even taking 2x a day. Great value, easy to swallow, no flavor... but disappointed in the expiration factor.
