I am a senior and have been struggling with recovering from my barbell weight training. I really needed something that can help with recovery, energy, etc. I decided to give this Perfect Amino a try. Wow! After my first time using this product, I got through my workout with plenty of energy to spare. I didn't need to build it up in my system over days for it to be effective. I'm looking forward to taking the tablets whenever I get them. I will give updates after a month or so to report rather the product tapers off. My only complaint is the PErfect Amino products are a bit pricey, but the trade-off is worth it.

ive only been using this for a week so i dont have any physical result to report but i have to say if youre thinking of buying this go for the pills. its supposed to be strawberry flavored. Im not sure how to describe it but theres no way it could be considered strawberry. I dont usually have any issue with drinks but this is pretty rough. Next time.. pills

UPDATE: I still have the same tub of this product in my fridge. I take it very infrequently. It is nice, I have nothing against it, but I don't need quite the same type of amino acid input now as I did back when I was bodybuilding. (I am training less for size now and more for functionality.) I do not find the taste unpleasant, and I think it is good post-workout if you really don't feel hungry yet, but need something to prevent muscle catabolism. So I do recommend it, it just isn't a supplement that I would personally consider part of my 'top five' list.<br /><br />ORIGINAL REVIEW:<br />I stumbled upon this supplement because a friend was using a different product by the same company, and I started poking around their listings after I read up about what she was taking. Back when I was bodybuilding, I took BCAAs in pill form; therefore, I was intrigued by the promises attached to this particular amino acid supplement. After reading some of the reviews, I was also curious about the flavor, as there seem to be mixed responses. My verdict? Upon drinking my first dose yesterday afternoon (mixed according to the label's instructions and, yes, I am being conservative by taking it two hours after food and one-half hour before eating), I discovered that it tasted like--a powdered supplement! It had that citric-acidy, tart/sweet flavor at the beginning, and at the end the flavor turned a bit bitter. But it was hardly "disgusting" or "vile", as some others have claimed. We'll see what I think of these amino acids in terms of my training/performance once I'm finished with this tub, but so far I'm pleased (inasmuch as it's been a day since I started using them!). Actually, I'm going to take my second 'dose' in another fifteen minutes, as it will then be two hours since I drank my preworkout smoothie.

This product works for me. It curbs my appetite and although I have not weighed myself I feel like I have lost a few pounds. That wasn’t my initial intention but I’ll take it. I bought it to help me maintain muscle tone because at 63 years young I feel that’s important. I drink about 16 to 18 ounces of water with one scoop first thing when I get out of bed.. I read where others disliked the taste but it’s fine by me. I feel like it’s working for me.

I use this product to help me get my protein and build muscle in an healthier form. It does its job if you take two scoops one before workout and one after.. but I don't like the aftertaste.<br />Will buy again except next time I will get the pill forms instead.

I don’t understand how others leave a bad review on taste. I love the taste! It’s refreshing when I shake it in my 40oz water bottle with a little ice. So maybe it could be a little to strong if only mixing with 12-24oz. Also, it dissolves fine if you follow the directions on the product.
