I purchased this for my 10 year old recommended by her psychiatrist. She's been struggling with insomnia for years!! I wish I had known about this years ago. The first night I gave it to her, my 15 year old and 12 year old son at 8pm by 9 they all were asleep and slept all night! My 15 year old was up at 5am and was on her way to school at 6:50 she told me that was the bes sleep she's ever had and wants to continue to use it. My 10 year old slept all night as well she woke up at 7 she wasn't grumpy or sluggish as usual she was very happy and energetic and so was my 12 year old son. I gave them 1 tablet each after reading more than 1mg is too much. So far we love it and finally got my kids back on track. I highly recommend this product.

Unfortunately this didn't work for me or my husband. I wish I could have returned it.<br /><br />After reading the reviews I was hopeful but it did nothing for me. I thought my husband might have better luck but it didn't work for him either. If my daughter has a hard time sleeping we will let her try it but if it doesn't work for her either we will be throwing them out.

I received this item for free from Tomoson.com in exchange for an honest review.<br /><br />My boyfriend and I each take Melatonin every night so we're pretty familiar with it's usage and so I decided he could be my guinea pig and help me evaluate Natrol Melatonin. We both agreed the strawberry flavor was good, so it was kind of like eating candy before bed. I really liked this product because I could just keep it beside my bed, without having to worry about having a cup of water next to me so even if I laid down I didn't have to get up again just to take my melatonin. I found it dissolves quickly, and the strawberry flavor does make it kind of fun to take. Think of it as strawberry flavored vitamins for adults.<br /><br />I was surprised by how large these pills are, but once I used them and experienced them dissolving I realized this really isn't an issue. I personally found that I didn't sleep nearly as well taking Natrol Melatonin as I do with my regular Melatonin, so for me it wasn't as helpful. It seemed to work faster to put me to sleep, but I didn't stay asleep and so I would wake up after a little while wide awake and unable to go back to sleep. Mike felt it worked just as well as other brands we have used in the past.

The Natrol melt-aways are my favorite melatonin. This very low dose provides more flexibility. It doesn't "force" you to sleep like a high 5+mg dose. More natural is better. Still not sleepy? Take another.<br /><br />I recently switched to these 1mg doses because higher dosing can leave me groggy if I don't have enough hours sleep (or even so). A low dose also has less likelihood of messing with your body's hormone production, in case you end up taking melatonin regularly (officially it's for occasional use) like many of us do.<br /><br />Pictured: one dose with a US dollar coin. Interestingly their 1mg and 3mg are the exact same size of tablet.<br /><br />Melatonin is one of those thing, that once you're of a certain age, is an unexpected discovery and delight, and you wonder why people didn't tell you about it sooner. Major plus for being able to fall asleep more readily, especially if you're prone to restlessness or anxiety. It won't KEEP you asleep-- it's not a sleeping pill, but it definitely helps with the sleep-related issues many of us suffer through.<br /><br />Natrol makes the best version I've tried yet, and this version lives on my nightstand.

This brand is great, it's fast acting and tastes great. Also a big plus to the fact that it's 1 mg, unlike most others offered. This is great because you can just take 1, or build if you need a little more to fall asleep.
