Last year I saw my GI for cramping, nausea, bloating, etc. After several tests he could not find a cause and my ulcerative colitis was in remission at the time so he placed me on Prevacid. I did not want another RX so after a month I tried to stop the RX but the pain returned. I would wake up in the middle of the night from the cramping and could not sleep. I had been taking probiotics 5 billion capsules, off and on for years. I decided to bump up dosage and started taking one 25 billion capsule consistently every morning on an empty stomach. I’ve been taking these for almost a year now! Amazing! I was having serious issues with my stomach and was taking prescription strength omeprozole daily to help with vomiting constantly after eating. The downfall especially being only in my late 20s is omeprozole long term isn’t good for you, and can cause other problems down the road like early osteoporosis. I already have arthritis so that’s the last thing I need. Anyways, a few friends raved about probiotics especially this brand, and since the meds I was on wasn’t helping as much as I would have liked anyway I figured what the heck I’ll try it! It's a bargain for a probiotic with 8 strains, 30 Billion shelf stable (no refrigeration needed) capsule. I first purchased this as a travel probiotic because it didn't need refrigeration and continued to use it over the past 5 years because it works and it is convenient. This product survives stomach acids and says to take with or before a meal which is very convenient! With others I've been told on an empty stomach and wait an 45 minutes plus the refrigeration thing makes it very inconvenient and therefore I skip doses. With Healthy Origins I can put this in a daily pill case with other supplements and remember to take it every day! Recently going gluten free, I can continue to take it because it is wheat/gluten free too!

A few years ago I was suffering from a severe case of candida. I went on the strict diet, took many supplements (i.e.-coconut oil, milk thistle, etc.) and began using this probiotic. I feel like it was a life-saver. I began with taking it daily, but three years later, I only need to take one every couple weeks to help keep things balanced. I don't know where I would be now without this.<br />Disclaimer - It did cause me to have extremely vivid dreams every night.
