Not good for my IBS-C

I suffer from IBS-C and food intolerances. I also follow the low fodmap diet. I tried this after it appeared on the Monash app as "safe". The one star is in regards to it not giving me noticable issues that non-low fodmap foods/ supplements/ you name have. I can't rate it any higher though, because this girl could barely go poo for the whole week of taking it. I was bloated and feeling heavy. Two days after stopping it I finally got sweet relief. Now that may be TMI, but that's what you came to review section to find out, right? Bottom line, I can't say I would recommend this to someone with IBS-C.

Great low FODMAP fiber

I suffered for years with IBS-D and then combination IBS before I discovered the FODMAP elimination diet and found out I have fructose malabsorption. I've always tried to get more fiber in my diet for the other health benefits like lowering cholesterol but many fiber supplements and sources would set off my IBS. I recently discovered that Regular Girl was certified low FODMAP and decided to give it a go. Because this product is prebiotic and contains probiotic, it may cause an upset in the first week. I already started and changed probiotics several times so I was already aware of this problem. It takes a little longer to dissolve in cold juice if I use it instead of water or coffee but my bowel habits after a month of use are definitely along the lines of what most people would consider normal. I am definitely going to keep using it.

Be careful! My body didn’t like this after about 10 months

This was a great product for me in the beginning. I got a subscription to it and used it every morning in my shake. It helped me stay regular. I had the best healthy poops! Fast forward about 10 months and I started having reactions to dairy (extremely stinky gas, bloating, swollen colon, constipation) so I cut it out. Then about 2 months later, I started having the same reactions to soy, so I cut it out. Then I started gaining weight because I was EXTREMELY constipated all the time and I always had very bad stinky gas after eating anything. I was miserable so my doctor wanted me to do a gut health test. Well, to do that, all probiotics had to be stopped for 14 days. You know what happed as soon as I stopped taking this?! My stomach problems slowly started going away. I’m about 21 days off of it and I have great healthy poops again and I’m starting to loose the weight. So I would just advise people to think about this if it stops working for you.

Godsend (ESPECIALLY while traveling!!)

Regular Girl was a godsend for me on my recent 3 week vacation overseas! When traveling (especially through different time zones), I have trouble staying regular- it sometimes takes days for a bowel movement and the bloating and irregularity really interferes with trying to enjoy my vacation. This time around, I brought these packets along with me and they worked like a charm! They work quickly but gently, and I was able to enjoy my vacation without wondering when “the time” might finally come for me. You can definitely count on Regular Girl; the name says it all! Highly recommend not just to prevent travel constipation, but for normal, every day use! I am one satisfied customer!

Upset stomach

I gave this product a 2 because it claims no grit and when I tried to use it both in cold and hot water it didn’t dissolve like it said it would. No one likes grit. The other reason is I have to take non stimulating fiber all the time and this one upset my stomach for the two weeks I tried. I even tried a smaller amount and that bothered me as well.
