Take caution, extremely strong effects this dosage is too high
In researching this particular melatonin, I notice it also contains B6 for better absorption. They are not kidding, this does make it more powerful - to the point that this product deeply concerns me. The actual proper dose of any melatonin, based on reputable university/medical sources, is 0.3 (per MIT study) to 1mg of melatonin and it's only supposed to be a temporary fix for a week or so. This is an extremely high dose (5mg) and depending on your size/stature, may really be too strong (e.g., if you are petite/small stature). This product triggered intensive grogginess the next day and second day following just one dose, plus feeling physiologically 'down' and sad, as well as a major headache that bordered on migraine (and I normally don't get headaches). *If you have any history or tendency towards depression, do not take this product. I say this as a community member/layperson, only, not any sort of medical advice whatsoever. If you end up trying this, I would suggest cut this pill in half and do the sleep hygiene habits alongside this (e.g., reduced screen time before bed, dim the lights, exercise early in the day, no caffeine, etc.), and do not take this multiple days in a row. Never give this to children. I empathize with sleep issues and I hope everyone gets a good, restful night's sleep. **UPDATE: I ended up throwing away the bottle (safely) - the effects were too detrimental. I do not recommend this product.
