I do like the product and I have been using it for quite awhile. However, I am concerned that the product may change as it was taken over by the Nestle corporation. So I may be on the search for a new product because I have concerns that the quality of the Garden of Life products may end up compromised and go from holistic to commercial grade....

Lost 10 pounds in 6 weeks and have regular full movements 1st thing in the AM. Digest dairy much better. I take right before bed on an empty stomach and sleep much better each night.

There are plenty of less educated comments online and by writing this we hope to help the community of buyers.<br /><br />Before trying this product, we had another brand which worked fine but was not available when we needed a probiotic.<br />The decision to go with this one was dictated by the HIGHER price (you usually get what you pay for, right?), the CFU number and the strains on the label.<br /><br />We purchased the product right from the store which kept it in a controlled temperature environment. It had 14 months to expiration.<br /><br />We use this to prepare our own yoghurt-like food which is made with ingredients preferred by the listed strains. For this, we use laboratory equipment to control the optimal temperature for the growth of the strains, controlled volumes of the medium, same inoculum size. The size of the starting bacterial inoculum was estimated by optical density.<br /><br />This product is NOT what it is claimed to be. The lack of the actual strain composition in the formula (in percentages) allows the manufacturer to use cheaper strains in higher concentrations, leaving much to be desired from this formulation.<br /><br />It is our opinion that this product, although marketed as a high end product, is actually not one. Its price does NOT reflect quality and the manufacturer abuses the trust of the consumer by using special terminology in the hope to increase sales.<br /><br />This special terminology (Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM, for e.g.) is supported by studies with TWICE A DAY administration.<br />[...]Probiotic bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM and Bifidobacterium lactis Bi-07 versus placebo for the symptoms of bloating in patients with functional bowel disorders<br /><br />It gets 2 stars because there are worse products out there which feed the money needs with poorer ingredients.<br /><br />The placebo effect might be impressive in those who find it to work. For those buyers and in the hope I won't ruin their hopes too much, I can only say "Nice box however".

I was diagnosed with H. Pylori earlier this year. H. Pylori sucks, because the only way to really get rid of it is a heavy antibiotic treatment along with omeprazole. I was not ready to deal with all the gut flora disturbances that come with heavy antibiotics, so I started reading about options for probiotics.<br /><br />Now I was on THREE heavy-duty antibiotics for my gut infection. I took one of these a day during the 14 day treatment AND drank plenty of kombucha. I also ate carefully, limiting anything that might be harsh on my poor gut. I can happily say that I only had 1-2 days of stomach issues and then I couldn't really even tell I was on the antibiotics. I strongly believe it's because I was supplementing with this probiotic. If I need them again for any reason, I'll definitely be buying this again.

I have been searching for a reputable, organic, GMO free, probiotic formula to take because of being on antibiotics for 4 months due to a super bug called cdiff. The antibiotics also destroyed all the good bacteria in me which helped the super bug to grow and keep coming back. So far, this formula, along with the prebiotic formula to feed the good bacteria, has worked very well and I feel very healthy finally! I know it's not a cure and no medical claims have been made by this company to help prevent diseases but feeling healthy and energetic is all that counts with me at this point. Also, make sure it's delivered with an ice pack. It's very important to refrigerate to keep the good bacteria alive.

5 stars for product, 0 stars for delivery. This product must arrive cold for it to work. Mine arrived warm. The return was easy but I don't waste my time ordering here anymore. I just buy them at my local nutrition store where they arrive and are kept refrigerated.
