I have used Puritan's pride product in the past and have always had courteous, prompt and helpful service when I contacted them and the products were always first quality and reasonably priced. Shipment was prompt and everything well packaged. The melatonin is excellent. My father has Alzheimer's and swallowing pills is increasingly becoming more difficult, resulting in his refusal to take necessary medication. In addition, like many Alzheimer's sufferers, his sleep patterns are often disrupted and he has difficulty falling and staying asleep. The liquid melatonin with its sweet taste is an excellent way to get him to take this sleep aid and eliminates the need for him to try and swallow another pill. In addition, it can easily be mixed into juice or other liquids for easy intake. Melatonin works by telling the Pineal gland its time for sleep. The Pineal gland in turn tell the brain its time to shut down and rest. Melatonin is not a narcotic or a sleeping pill and is not habit forming. It does gently induce drowsiness and helps the person taking it to fall and stay asleep. This product works excellently for my father and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs just a gentle push into slumber.

I have used the Puritan’s Pride and Solgar brand, both are wonderful, I think the key is the 10 mg liquid form. I used to lie in bed for hours and hours before sleep finally happens; my mind just would not turn off, kept thinking about things. I tried everything from white noise to sleeping pills to muscle relaxants. The pills worked, but was I terribly groggy the next day, all day. I started using a dropper of the liquid melatonin in a glass of hot tea or warm milk about 30 min before I wanted to be asleep. I have used this combination for the past few months and it has not failed me yet. As soon as I lay my head down on my pillow, I am asleep in minutes. I can fall asleep even after a very stressful day and even after an emotionally charged event, (I care for a rather difficult elderly person with dementia). My liquid melatonin goes with me everywhere!

It works but my children have autism they didn't like the cherry flavor. The stuff does work well and without alcohol which a lot of the other luquid brands have.

This stuff gives me a lot of dream sometimes I would long lucid dreams and and some I would get crazy scary deams I would have about people that never seen for while... I would only use a little I would use lowest mesure if you use more you won't have dreams you'll have a dark long sleep !!!!!! Warning don't use the whole 10 mg u'll want stay alseep and feel too lazy to get upp if need to go to work or anything....

This melatonin is a great flavour and at 10 mg one dropperful will knock me out in 20 minutes. (I've had insomnia since childhood and I don't want to take sleeping pills)

I purchased this because the ad shows 10 mg melatonin. I wondered why it did not work so I checked the label on my bottle. On the back ingredient label it states 1 mg. Don’t know if this is a mis take or what. According to this I would need to take 10 droppersful to equal 10 mg.
