Don’t Take It Every Day. Do This Instead.
I have been taking melatonin for the past 15 years. Below is my routine that helps keep my sleep on track week to week without losing the effect of this sleeping agent. Everything written below is purely anecdotal....AKA it works for me :).<br /><br />I tend to stay up later on weekends than I do weekdays. This means that my sleep cycle gets out of whack on the weekend. I use Melatonin to help put my sleep schedule back on track.<br /><br />On Sunday, I take melatonin about 30 minutes before my ideal sleep time. So, if you're aiming for 10:30pm, take it at 10:00, etc.. Doing this helps “re-program” your internal clock to think that bedtime is 10:30pm. The next night/rest of the week, you don’t even have to take another pill. The next night your body will have been conditioned to think 10:30pm is bedtime and it will release its own melatonin.<br /><br />The key is to use it only on Sundays (or whatever day starts off your work week) so that its effect doesn’t wear off from taking it every day. Also, if your sleep schedule is inconsistent and you use the pill every day, it will wreak havoc in your internal clock and get your sleep schedule really out of whack (insert my college experience).<br /><br />This next step is very important. After you take it, try to refrain from anything that would require a lot of mental or physical energy. You could of course just go right to bed after taking it but I like to let it “marinate” inside so that I’m good and ready before heading to bed. In this 30 minute window after taking the pill, I like to debrief by watching one of my favorite shows.<br /><br />That’s it. That’s what works for me. I hope this helps someone else out there!

Extremely effective. I'm getting to sleep a lot easier than with just melatonin.
I ordered this by mistake but it was a happy mistake. I intended to order 5 mg melatonin. Somehow I ended up ordering these (my mistake, not the sellers). I decided to try it. I'm hooked. The melatonin is 3 mg, not 5 mg I have been taking. Add the L-theanine and it works great. I struggle to get to sleep every night as my mind is too busy thinking about what needs to be done tomorrow. I lay there for an hour or more before I can fall asleep. Taking this, I'm asleep 15-20 minutes after going to bed. I even fall asleep quickly after getting up to use the restroom. I'm able to take my focus off pending tasks and just go to sleep. I couldn't be any more impressed. I will be reordering these from now on. Try it. I hope it works as good for you as it does for me

The Night Thought Eliminator!
I don't take this regularly, but when I need it, it works every time. For the longest time, it took me absolutely forever for me to get to sleep. Once I'm asleep I can sleep all through the night, even if I wake up in the middle of the night, getting back to sleep is never an issue. Getting to sleep can be atrocious for me at times. I'll have a pool of thoughts running through my brain and I will toss and turn all night. While plain Melatonin has worked alright in the past, it didn't always work. I would be tired, but my pool of thoughts would keep me awake. Then I tried Melatonin with L-Theanine. Major change. This crazy mind relaxer literally feels like it slowly subtracts thoughts from the pool, one by one until there is absolute silence in your mind. Then the melatonin kicks in and puts you to sleep. This really is a beautiful combination, and I would highly recommend this product to everyone having trouble getting to sleep!

Finally sleeping!
Great product for sleep. I have Narcolepsy and have been on some of the strongest medications that are out there for inducing a decent nights sleep. I've been using this for about 2 weeks now and I never wake feeling drugged nor in a stupor like I have with prescription or over the counter sleep medicines. I take about an hour before I plan on going to sleep with some yogurt or other milk type product. Usually within 45 minutes, I'm conked out. Keeps me asleep though the night. I will continue to purchase. I stopped all my prescription meds two nights before starting this for fear of being overly drugged the next day.<br />One thing I do notice, dreams. Weird dreams and vivid to boot. Doesn't bother me in the slightest because they aren't nightmares and aren't waking me up.

Sweet Dreams - Highly Recommended
Normally I will take about 30 minutes prior to going to bed, when I take my other medications in the evening. What my experience has been is that this helps me to gently fall asleep. It also seems to really help when I get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I'm able to go back to bed and drift right back to sleep. I've also noticed that I dream more when I take this product so it leads me to believe that I'm getting better quality sleep. I've been taking it for about 3 months and have felt more alert during the day due to the restful night. I do not wake up still sleepy the next morning.

Sleep is the most wonderful thing.
SO my therapist recommended these. I found another brand at Walmart the night before and bought those. I slept ok. But then I jumped online and ordered these as soon as I could. They have changed my life. I NEVER sleep through the night. The directions say to take (1) an hour before bed. The first night I did, about 30 min later, I couldnt keep my eyes open. I went to bed and slept completely through the night. Woke up feeling rested and happy. Never feel groggy or zombie like. I dont know how I ever lived without these.
