Honestly, I could care less. I’m just happy it’s now.
On any given day you talk to me, I feel like i’ve got a low grade flu. Most don’t realize because, outside a select few, it’s not something I advertise. It’s a stomach problem I’ve had for years, I’ve bellied up to several different physicians repeatedly, and it’s just sort of become a part of my life as it’s never really gotten better than tolerable.

I should point out the line of tolerable keeps nudging higher.

Anyways, a friend in the medical community recently suggested a probiotic to me. I must admit, I was skeptical. I’ve tried them before with negotiable results and usually get nothing to ad much bad as good.

Still, to feel like I did when my stomach was half its age, I’ll try anything - so, I ordered it.

I’m 1 week in. That’s all. Not far enough to call it a success, not far enough for a change of life story, but far enough to say I’ve had (aside from one bad night) 1 week of feeling good.

Funny thing is, at first, I thought something was wrong. I told my wife, “it’s weird, i can’t feel my intestines moving, my stomach digesting, and there’s no nausea.” To which my wife responded, “honey, it’s been so long since you’ve felt normal you’re having trouble recognizing it.”

That’s a hell of a problem to have.

So, aside from my stomach issues, let me tell you about the other side effects…

My skin is healthier. It’s winter and in dry air winters i get dry skin patches that only highly medicated lotions with cancer warning labels can cure (yay). Without using any lotion this week, because I just happened to be out of lotion by weird luck of the draw, my skin started to get better. This typically only happens when I start getting sun, and I haven’t gotten any due to a school project (I’m a 36 year old father who works a professional full time job going back to school full time to further by degree, time’s a bit of an issue).

I’m sleeping better, I attribute this to the stomach changes though.

I feel most emotionally calm.

Hay fever is all around me, and I’m not sneezing, My eyes aren’t watering. I’m just… here. Smiling. (VERY ODD, I’m usually the first one suffering and I’m not on anything other than this).

That’s it so far. That’s all I’ve noticed.

Long term- maybe this is placebo effect, but then why did this never happen on previous probiotic trials? Maybe this is real? Maybe this is temporary.

Honestly, I could care less. I’m just happy it’s now.
