Life changing
My daughter has POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) and was suffering from nausea, dizziness, fast heart rate, and super low blood pressure when standing up. She would go ashen pale, and her lips would look blue when suffering from an attack. We tried a high salt diet and supplementing from electrolytes, but she could not ingest enough to keep her blood pressure consistently in the normal range. This product has been a game changer for her. She takes 2 pills, 3x a day, and her color is back, she feels good and is able to study and work again. No more dizziness or nausea! We were so grateful to find something that was buffered to keep it from impacting her stomach. Thank you! I am not usually a "reviewer", but came on the site tonight just to express our gratitude.

No more headaches!! Life changer!!
I do not want this to sound overly dramatic but I'm sure it will. This product has changed my life. I used to get terrible, debilitating headaches anywhere around 2 to 4 hours after my runs. I tried everything from hydrating really well including the day before, right before my runs, during my runs and after. I drank water, sports drinks with electrolytes but nothing seemed to work. The headaches were inevitable and I dreaded them to the point where I would skip runs. I fueled properly with food, got plenty of sleep but this too did not help. So what would happen is I would have to take ibuprofen before the headache started or else it would get out of control and honestly ruin the rest of my day. I decided to try something else and this was SaltStick Capsules. I took 1 capsule about 30 minutes before I started out and hoped for the best. I ended up getting a headache although it was a bit less severe. Next time I took 1 capsule 30 minutes before, 1 about 45 minutes into my run. I felt a headache coming on later that day but this one obviously less severe so I took 1 more capsule. Headache did not continue. I did not want to post this review until I was sure it was due to SaltStick Caps that were preventing my headaches and I can confirm after a few weeks of headache free runs I have found the key. My formula now, depending on level of effort, humidity and length of run is to take 1 capsule before, 1 during and 1 within 30 minutes of completing a run. As a plus, I also get less muscle soreness and fatigue. If you suffer from headaches as I did please do yourself a favor and try SaltStick Capsules. I do not know how these compare to other electrolyte replacement capsules but I personally do not need to try any other product. Perfect product for me.

Pediatric cardiologist recommended SaltStick brand by name
My teenage daughter needs this for treatment of POTS, per her pediatric cardiologist (who recommended SaltStick brand by name). The capsules are dauntingly large (she takes four per dose, 2x daily) to swallow, but I open them into orange juice, shake it *very* well, and she gets it down with no problem. Since this has been incorporated into her regimen (along with a LOT of water), her symptoms have dissipated dramatically. I wouldn't mind if the product was available in powder form, but for now, opening the capsules is a workable (albeit tedious when you're in a hurry) workaround.

As an aside, I have had to contact SaltStick with questions on a couple of occasions, and the company is responsive, professional, and a pleasure to work with.

Perfect for endurance athletes
One of the biggest problems I've had in training for endurance events is combatting dehydration. Not just the loss of water from sweating, but also electrolytes. Completing training and events hasn't been a problem, but lingering headaches afterwards have. Consuming sports drinks and gels usually makes me feel sick to my stomach, and seem to be ineffective in helping my recovery. The model of coupling water, electrolytes, and sugars seems inherently flawed to me - a one size fits all solution to the very dynamic problem of hydration and recovery.

Salt Stick electrolyte tablets were a revelation for me. They are formulated to replace the salts that an average athlete will lose in an hour of exertion. For every thirty minutes of exercise, take one tablet, up to 10 a day. Since I've started using them I've had a much easier time with my endurance training. My long runs feel easier, and I no longer get splitting headaches hours after my runs. Along with the Salt Stick tablets I also carry simple glucose and water. I take each as needed, which is far easier than taking an all-in-one solution is incorrectly balanced for my immediate needs.

Works better than Gatorade for my husband, the chemo patient
My husband is fighting cancer. When the chemotherapy causes vomiting and diarrhea, the doctors want him to drink Gatorade equal to his "liquid output" to keep his electrolytes and fluids balanced.

Except that he CAN'T. The taste of the Gatorade just makes him sicker, and he can't keep it down.

The doctors didn't have any advice to offer. I tried a couple of different things (Gatorade powder in capsules with water on the side, for instance) and kept looking until I found this product. It works!

When my sweetie is ill, I give him 1 Saltstick capsule per each liter of water, and his electrolytes stay balanced.

but not a good feeling. Now I use them with care and ...
These really work well, but buyer beware...they really work! Disregard the nutrition info and percentages.... if you slam 2 or more of these without being in a legitimate electrolyte deficiency you will feel it! I took two on the way to the gym and they made me feel very strange...hard to explain, but not a good feeling. Now I use them with care and moderation, they work really well with intermittent fasting as a way to keep electrolyte levels while fasting and while doing extreme exercise. My suggestion is start with 1 and wait a while, then take another if doing prolonged (several hour) activity. Don't take these if you have good nutrition, are eating a moderate sale diet to begin with, or aren't exercising.
