My husband uses this glutamine for a different reason than weight training. He had Stage 4, advanced, metastatic head and neck cancer. After his treatment, I researched glutamine, and found out it was a healing agent. I mix, 2 heaping tablespoons glutamine, 1 level teaspoon salt, and 1 level tablespoon of baking soda in 32 ounces of water. Since his mouth is chronically sore from the portion that was removed from his cheek, this soothes that and he swears by it as a saliva substitute, since he has very little saliva as a result of radiation. I have passed this on to both the University of MN Clinic and Hospital, and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for use with their head and neck cancer patients. They report great results. He had tried everything from prescription and OTC saliva substitutes. This works the best of anything. BTW, he had no risk factors for this cancer, and is now just past his 4th anniversary cancer free!

Glutamine is really good for you. I use it because I weight train and that is a killer on your body. Glutamine helps your body release HGH (Human Growth Hormone). HGH helps to burn body fat and increase the size of your muscles. It also helps your body support your muscles (rather than breaking them down). It is also supposed to help keep your GI tract working properly.<br /><br />This Glutamine is great. There is no taste or smell. You can mix it into anything without messing up the taste. Just be careful not to heat it up since glutamine shouldn’t be heated. I mix this into my pre & post workout shakes. Also I mix it in my before bed shake. The price is one of the best out there and so far it works just like all the other ones I have tried.<br /><br />Star Rating: When I do a review I always start out with 5 stars ★★★★★. I have leaky gut or increased intestinal permeability. This causes an array of issues, autoimmune disorders, cfs, osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism, hoshimotos disease, etc. Also severe food allergies, especially gluten. No GI distress, flu like symptoms, joint aches, can't stay awake for 3 days minimum. Using this daily helps seal the gut lining. I have less fatigue, less pain, brain fog, etc. I can't live without this!

I mix this powder in my tea before I eat anything. When I drink it, it is so soothing to my stomach. I bought it in the hopes of maybe healing a leaky gut or whatever gastrointestinal issues I have been having. I do find it very helpful. I recommend it to anyone with stomach issues or leaky gut. I also give a little bit to my cat to help with his stomach issues and I think it helps him too. Also some people might experience incrreased anxiety after using glutamine but I have not experienced that at all. This is a good product. Will purchase again.

Glutamine is such a great supplement. Yes, it helps with your muscles a bunch, but what I truly value it for is assisting me with weight loss. Glutamine stops your cravings for carbs and sugar. If you're counting calories and get hunger pains between meals take a teaspoon of this stuff and you'll not only feel slightly euphoric but you'll stop day dreaming about food. It's very versatile too. It barely has a discernible taste. I like to add it to smoothies, yogurt, juice, or in a pinch just a bit of water.<br /><br />Body Fortress Glutamine is the best value I have been able to find. I used to be able to buy it at Walmart until they stopped carrying it. I'm so happy to have found it again on Amazon.
