High Quality, Pure Tyrosine

This is to counterbalance the review slamming the product because it refuses to dissolve in their morning vitamin drink as they expected it would. However long they stir or patiently wait, they complain it "NEVER dissolves, even after hours in liquid!" and insinuate there's something wrong with it.

To be clear, L-tyrosine is nearly insoluble in water, juice or anything else that's mostly water. It's a physical characteristic like a melting point that can't be changed. If anything, its insolubility in any liquid humans are likely to drink, speaks to its purity! It's not supposed to dissolve.

I just finished a bottle of this very brand of L-Tyrosine and was very pleased with the product. It works out much cheaper than the capsules, which are just as insoluble, btw.

There might be an answer to the reviewers dilemma and that's to use N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine, which might well be far more soluble in water as are so many otherwise water-insoluble substances when they are acetylated -- a process that frequently also makes them cross the blood-brain barrier more easily. Maybe that's why the standard dose for N-A-Tyrosine is 300 mgs as opposed to 500 mgs for straight Tyrosine.

Anyway, L-Tyrosine isn't supposed to dissolve easily, but it's cheaper, this brand is good and you can -- as the reviewer points out -- suspend it in different things, including water. Just get it swirling around and swallow!

Mental clarity, but don't overdo it

I have used capsule L-Tyrosine for many years on and off. Tyrosine is used to make L-dopa, then dopamine and epinephrine, norepinephrine. It also is used to make thyroid hormones and melanin.

Think about that, and you can see how it can help with energy and clarity- but too much and you can get amped out of your skin and have insomnia. Believe me, not good.

The book, "The Mood Cure" has great information about it, along with reports of its use in cocaine addicts to wean them off. Perhaps it could have use in smoking cessation and other pleasure/dopamine deficiency states? The chapter talks about "the blahs."

I have dumped out capsules and the powder inside is just like this powder; a tart/sharp taste, but it doesn't dissolve well in water. That is just a chemical property.

To clarify: all those who rate this product down due to poor liquid solubility are doing it a discredit. Some things dissolve in oil better, in water, heated, or not. It just is. Swirl the water or juice in your cup, and gulp the mix down.

I like this powder because you can use small doses. I overdid it in the past and it was hard to reset my body, I was so tired and sluggish when stopping it, ugh!! Now I only take maybe 200 mg for a dose, or I am flying high and racing mind.

In short, this can really help clear your mind and sharpen your focus - but MUST be taken on EMPTY stomach for the fastest absorption. I feel effects in 15-20 minutes this way, clouds of fog lift, focus improves. But I know now to keep a dose small, not too late in the day, and not every day.

Now makes good quality products at reasonable prices, I have been a repeat customer of various products for many years. Hope this is helpful info for your evaluation.

I finally have a brain. . . .

I love what this does for me! As a sufferer of severe sleep deprivation (aka pregnant mommy) and one who used to have severe PTSD and some ADHD symptoms, Tyrosine is like getting a brain transplant. LOVE it.

I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START

I don't know where to start with this stuff! I have literally struggled with anxiety and depression. I've always struggled with these and I have been to the doctors who have prescribed meds, however at a certain point I just didn't want to take them anymore. So at that point just raw dogging my anxiety, depression and life in general. I've found myself getting up in the mornings and being productive before work, going to the gym. But I really want to say this which is a very very big thing I've noticed, i'm not crying as often and having the same sad thoughts. I find myself happy to wake up, at first I didn't think it was really working, but slowly I started to see changes and I've purchased this twice, i'm not finished with my first one, but I don't want to run out of this stuff. It has truly helped my thought process, being more upbeat (I don't want to say happy because i control my happiness and it doesn't come from a pill). I don't think that this is a placebo affect at all. I really believe that this is helping me and continues to help me daily. I take it first thing in the morning on a empty stomach, I usually don't eat until i get to work about two hours after i take it. Highly recommend! Will continue to purchase this!

Focused minus anxiety

I have adhd but refuse to take medicine bc I hate the side effects. I've tried a bunch of foods and ways to keep it under control until someone recommend this product. It's in powder form which last longer and it does work, i took it last night to make a 5 paper which I did in less than 2 hours. I was able to hang out and go back to sleep without feeling restless. Please talk to your nutritionist bc some ppl with thyroid conditions or high blood pressure should not take this. It was easy to dilute in my juice in the morning or coffee.

Pure Product

Now has excellent pure products, and this L-Tyrosine is no exception. This particular powder is non-clumpy and encapsulates well, if you use a capsule loader. It would be nice if they included a certificate of analysis for the batch, but having purchased their pure products several times, I know they are consistent from batch to batch.
