My dog use to have a couple very bad seizures. I learned she was sensitive to certain ingredients. Found a food without those ingredients but then every few months she'd have about 5 seizures a day for four days then they'd stop for almost 3 months to the week. Going on 5 months now with none after buying this product and breaking two in her food a day.

We’ve tried several brands of taurine, none of which the body seemed to absorb or use effectively. The brand Solgar, 500 mg, was the only brand that effected a change, that quieted...& many times (most of the time) completely eliminated... the auditory voices in the head. The dosage was high however. Simply taking one or two capsules did not work. It’s all personal to every body but 2-3 capsules every so many hours seemed to do the trick. Keep on top of it. When the taurine seemed to be wearing off & the voices returning, 2-3 additional taurine taken at that time worked to once again quiet and/or eliminate them. Also combined the Solgar brand with the NOW brand. The NOW brand, also 500mg, really didn’t do much on its own but since it was purchased to try, rather than waste it, took 2 of the Solgar & 1 of the NOW & it helped as well. Taurine might need to be taken every 2-3 hours but it works!! The Solgar brand was the key though. Without it, there wasn’t much effective change. It also seemed better to take multiples of the 500mg dose of the Solgar brand vs a 1000mg dose of something else! This is the largest bottle I could find of the 500 mg—it’s 250 capsules. Plan ahead. You won’t want to run out. Seriously.

I cannot express enough now much I regretted taking this supplement! I took it before eating breakfast and heading out to a doctor appointment. About 20 minutes after taking it I started getting extreme cramps in my abdomen. That was swiftly followed by what felt like a water flume was rushing through my intestines. Waves of nausea came out of no where. All while I am driving to this doctor appointment with no bathroom in sight. When I finally got to the dr appointment I was able to find some relief, albeit extremely embarrassing to walk back out to the waiting room after the sordid sound effects that came through the thin door. My doctor told me that Taurine is sulfur based and that is why I felt like I was slowly decaying from the inside out. I didn’t realize this. It may have been listed in the ingredients but I did not look before fool hardily downing the seemingly innocent pill that morning. In conclusion, if you are the slightest bit sensitive to sulfur or you are unsure, take these with caution (and make sure a bathroom is within running distance)!

This has made such a difference in my life. I used to have trouble relaxing, my back muscles were so tight that I felt as though I had a dagger stuck in my scapula, heart palpitations, constant stress for no apparent reason. Since beginning Taurine 3 months ago, all of those problems have disappeared. I will never stop taking this product. I take either 4 or 6 pills, 2 at a time, spread out over the day (my last dose is at bedtime).

My dog was suffering from heart failure. The canine cardiologist recommended this brand of Taurine to add to his diet. This along with diuretics and blood pressure medicine has brought my old boy back! I didn't know dogs needed this.

Taurine has so many benefits to a person's health such as the heart, eyes, and anxiety attacks. I love this specific brand because is all natural.
